Cleveland Bay

The Cleveland Bay is one of Britian’s oldest breeds of horses. Originally bred in monasteries, they evolved into the penultimate carriage and driving horse in the 18th and 19th Centuries.

Always bay, they exhibit excellent movement and action. They have great stamina and possess a good, sane temperament. Cleveland Bays can be used for carriage driving and for eventing, for hunting, and in jumping competition.
